This study was motivated by the issue of low levels of artistic creativity among students, particularly in the Arts, Culture, and Crafts subject at the elementary school level. This instruction involved a student-centered, eco-friendly Do It Yourself (DIY) program. The study aimed to implement this program and assess the level of traditional artistic creativity among fifth-grade students before and after it’s implementation. A Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach was employed, conducted over two cycles; each cycle comprised the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research took place during the even semester of the 2025/2026 academic year with the fifth-grade class at SD Negeri Baturappe, Biringbulu District, Gowa Regency. Data collection techniques included observation, teacher interviews, tests, and documentation, while data analysis was conducted qualitatively. The results indicated an improvement in traditional artistic creativity through the implementation of the eco-friendly DIY program, shifthing from the “implemented” category at the beginning of Cycle I to the “highly implemented” category by the end of Cycle II. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of the eco-friendly DIY program enhances the traditional artistic creativity of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri Baturappe, Biringbulu District, Gowa Regency.
