CT angiography identifies a novel single coronary artery variant originating from the mid-LAD.
Reports an extremely rare anatomical variant of a single coronary artery with the RCA originating from the mid-LAD, documented via CT angiography.
Alerts clinicians to this novel coronary anomaly on CT; leaves open its prevalence and ischemic risks.
We report an extremely rare case of a single coronary artery arising from the left coronary sinus in a 25-year-old male. Uniquely, the Right Coronary Artery (RCA) originated from the mid-segment of the Left Anterior Descending (LAD) artery. To our knowledge, this specific anatomical variant has not been previously reported on CT angiography.
