Madisson-Bernardo et al. (2019) conducted a case report in Polycystic echinococcosis with pericardial involvement (n=1). Albendazole was evaluated on Clinical symptom improvement and reduction of hydatid cysts. High-dose albendazole treatment (15 mg/kg/day) successfully reduced pericardial hydatid cysts and eliminated cardiac involvement at one year in a patient with polycystic echinococcosis.
