Trauma exposure yields enduring biopsychosocial impacts, particularly in low-resource settings. Trauma-informed physical activity integrates safety, autonomy, and cultural sensitivity into movement programs to support engagement without re-traumatization. Emerging evidence suggests benefits for mental health and psychosocial outcomes, though findings remain heterogeneous. This Perspective outlines pragmatic implementation strategies and highlights research priorities to advance scalable, context-sensitive interventions as complementary approaches to trauma care.
