Key result
Common electrocardiographic changes in athletes, including extrasystoles, early ventricular repolarization syndrome, and incomplete right bundle branch block, are largely physiological adaptations to intensive physical training.
Why the study?
A modern understanding of electrocardiographic features in athletes is needed to characterize common ECG changes across different sports and qualifications.
Answers are grounded in this paper and cite their sources.
The article presents a modern vision of the lectrocardiographic features in persons involved in sports. The report addresses the most common changes on ECG in athletes, namely extrasystole, early repolarization syndrome, incomplete right bundle branch block, changes in the terminal part of the ventricular complex, juvenile changes of T-wave. The review presents our own results of ECG test in athletes of various groups of sports and athletes of certain sports with different sports qualification.

Мykhаliuk et al. (2019) conducted a review in Electrocardiographic changes in athletes. Intense physical training and sports participation was evaluated. Common electrocardiographic changes in athletes, including extrasystoles, early ventricular repolarization syndrome, and incomplete right bundle branch block, are largely physiological adaptations to intensive physical training.
