Cataract is the most common cause of preventable blindness caused by opacification of the normal crystalline lens of the eye. In the last 20 years, phacoemulsification surgery, which offers the advantage of smaller incisions, has become widespread in cataract surgery. In our literature review, there is limited data on what should not be done during surgery. This review was prepared to emphasize the mistakes that should be avoided during phacoemulsification surgery.
