This retrospective registration documents a completed systematic literature review examining the antecedents and outcomes of mindfulness in the workplace. The review synthesizes the development of workplace mindfulness research, including its theoretical foundations, methodological approaches, antecedents, different forms of mindfulness, and workplace outcomes. It combines bibliometric analysis with a systematic literature review to identify major research trends, methodological patterns, and gaps in the existing literature. The review further proposes the Mindfulness as an Organizational Resource System (MORS) framework, an integrative employee-focused framework that organizes workplace antecedents, different forms of mindfulness, and functional and moral–transcendental outcomes. The review draws on Scopus and Web of Science and follows PRISMA 2020 guidelines. This registration is being undertaken retrospectively to enhance transparency and provide a documented record of the review methodology.
