Learning Points Lithobezoar is a rare condition in children and is usually associated with pica. It should be considered in children with pica who present with gastrointestinal symptoms or radiographic abnormalities. Lithobezoars commonly present with symptoms of mechanical bowel obstruction and occasionally, a palpable abdominal mass may be detected. Abdominal radiography typically demonstrates multiple scattered radiopaque densities producing the classic ‘corn‐on‐the‐cob’ appearance. Lithobezoars sometimes require mechanical removal through endoscopic or surgical intervention but occasionally can be managed conservatively.
