In the current global energy and environmental environment, the need for a biomass management system with renewable energy production has become a central challenge for sustainable development towards the goals of decarbonization and carbon neutrality. The transition to low-carbon energy systems, accelerated by the European Green Deal by 2050, requires innovative land use strategies that incentivize agricultural and energy production. Agrivoltaic systems are a promising solution, enabling the simultaneous generation of green energy and agricultural production on the same land surface. Furthermore, by integrating renewable energy production with sustainable agricultural practices, agrivoltaics can promote resource efficiency, soil health and carbon sequestration for a circular, climate-resilient bioeconomy. The main objective of the work is to verify through environmental monitoring (chemical-physical analysis and bioindicators) the adaptation of the soil-culture system in the presence of agrivoltaic plant, depending on the different characteristics and different plant configurations to evaluate their effects on crop growth, soil health and energy yield related to the specific site conditions.
