This paper describes a new method for automatically forming the structure of transformer elements of complex configuration based on graph theory. Transformer elements are divided into simple transformer subsystems, represented as closed subsets of vertices with internal connections (internal edges). External constant and variable (random or controllable) connections are superimposed on vertices that are appropriate to different subsets. The application of the proposed method for structural synthesis and dynamic analysis of planetary gearboxes is presented.
