Typical lung carcinoid tumors are classified as well-differentiated, low-grade (G1) neuroendocrine neoplasms. This case study details the clinical course, diagnostic complexity, and definitive management of a 41-year-old African American male diagnosed with a histologically confirmed typical carcinoid (G1) that manifested a highly aggressive anatomical phenotype.Key features included bulky multi-station ipsilateral mediastinal lymph node metastasis (N2 disease), prevalent lymphovascular invasion, and direct phrenic nerve involvement.Following definitive surgical resection (left upper lobe segmentectomy), the disease was pathologically staged as pT2a N2 M0 (Stage IIIA).
