Key result
Combined MAOI, cheese, and fludrocortisone raises supine BP and prevents orthostatic hypotension.
Why the study?
The clinical response to a combined therapy of a monoamine oxidase inhibitor, cheese, and 9-alphafluorohydrocortisone in orthostatic hypotension was evaluated.
Case Report (n=1)
Summary: The clinical response to the combined regime of a monoamine oxidase inhibitor, cheese, and 9-alphafluorohydrocortisone has been evaluated in one patient with orthostatic hypotension. A significant elevation in supine blood pressure resulted following therapy, and tilt-table studies confirmed the efficacy of the medication in pre-venting an excessive fall in blood pressure in the erect position.
