AGTR1 overexpression identifies ER-positive breast cancer subset potentially responsive to ARB therapy.
Why the study?

Ateeq et al. (2009) conducted an editorial in ER-positive and ERBB-negative breast cancer. Angiotensin II type I receptor blockers (ARBs) was evaluated. AGTR1 over-expression characterizes a subset of ER-positive, ERBB2-negative breast cancers, suggesting these patients may benefit from targeted therapy with angiotensin receptor blockers.
