We are excited to present this proceeding from the 7 th National Big Data Health Science Conference that took place February 12-13 th , 2026 in Columbia, SC.The conference, which is supported in part by NIH, centers on the critical questions and emerging methods in big data health science which are contributing to the present and future of healthcare. The purpose of the conference is to foster multidisciplinary collaboration and serve as a venue for the exchange of new concepts, methods, and findings. The conference aims to bring together researchers from academia, government, and industry to share theoretical, methodological, and substantive knowledge about Big Data in biomedical science and public health. This is the seventh year that the University of South Carolina Big Data Health Science Center (BDHSC) has hosted the National Big Data Health Science Conference. The theme of the 2026 conference was "Unlocking the Power of Big Data in Health: Bridging the Gap Between Discovery and Delivery." The BDHSC is an interdisciplinary enterprise that conducts cuttingedge research and discovery, offers professional development and academic training, and provides service to the community and industry. The Center is comprised of six content cores including, Artificial Intelligence for Sensing and Diagnosis, Biomedical Imaging, Electronic Health Records, Genomics, Geospatial, and Social Media, and two functional hubs, Business/Entrepreneurship and Technology that collectively promote the utilization of Big Data Analytics in healthcare research, services improvement, and academic training.
