This scientific article evaluates the effectiveness of total thyroidectomy and thyroid tissue autografting methods in the surgical treatment of diffuse toxic goiter. The results of the operation were analyzed in 65 (24.7%) patients who were treated with a diagnosis of diffuse toxic goiter and underwent thyroid tissue autotransplantation (TTE+AT) with total thyroidectomy. The results obtained showed that the choice of surgical volume should be based on individual clinical, hormonal, and immunological criteria. Autotransplantation with thyroidectomy led to a decrease in postoperative hypothyroidism. Thus, the results obtained showed that surgical treatment of diffuse toxic goiter (TTE+AT) has high clinical efficacy in the radical elimination of thyrotoxic syndrome.
