This study examines the attitude and perception of university library staff towards the digitisation of serial publications in North-Eastern Nigeria. A quantitative survey design was employed, with data collected from 123 academic librarians, of which 110 valid responses were analyzed, representing an 89% response rate. The findings reveal a generally positive attitude toward digitisation (M = 3.50), with strong agreement on its role in enhancing resource sharing (M = 3.95) and improving online access (M = 3.91). Staff also demonstrated a positive perception, particularly regarding cost reduction (M = 3.92) and preservation of materials (M = 3.84). Regression analysis indicates that attitude (β = 0.421, p < 0.001) and perception (β = 0.367, p < 0.001) significantly predict digitisation adoption, explaining 62% of the variance (R² = 0.62). However, challenges such as inadequate funding, unstable electricity supply, and insufficient ICT infrastructure constrain effective implementation. The study concludes that while acceptance of digitisation is high, institutional support and capacity development are essential for successful adoption. The study recommends increased funding, improved infrastructure, and continuous staff training to enhance digitisation initiatives in university libraries.
