This article examines consanguineous marriage in Turkey between 2010 and 2025 using official statistics from the Turkish Statistical Institute. It distinguishes between flow measures, referring to newly registered marriages, and stock measures, referring to the currently married population. While consanguineous marriages among newly registered marriages declined from 5.9% in 2010 to 3.0% in 2025, the share among the married population changed only modestly, from 8.5% in 2019 to 8.0% in 2025. Provincial patterns reveal persistent regional concentration, especially in southeastern Turkey. The findings show that family change in Turkey is uneven, cumulative, and regionally differentiated.
