The Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, when it comes to the dynamic domain of healthcare, have gained a lot of attention and interest in recent years because they can transform chronic disease management as well as enhance the quality of life for older adults with multiple medical problems. In this article, to alleviate the constraints, an innovative healthcare monitoring system (IHMS) is proposed using the Raspberry Pi Model B with high-performance Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11ac). The device includes a plurality of sensors, including an ECG sensor, a pulse oximetry sensor, and a temperature sensor, to provide real-time readings of critical physiological data. Sensor data streams live to a patient’s caregivers so they can react quickly when something goes wrong. The paper is also dedicated to a description of measurement accuracy and reliability by using measurements from the system. The system was tested on a group of fifteen aged individuals and proved to be feasible, very efficient in terms of monitoring physiological parameters, and capable of promptly sending urgent ones. The average accuracy obtained is 98.90% in temperature, 98.40% in heart rate, and 99.40% in SPO2. Therefore, such a proposed system has the potential to greatly enhance service for chronic illness care and well-being among the elderly population and to facilitate the arrangement of health services into an efficient and effective continuum.
