This study investigated the effects of an aroma-blended oil foot massage on stress and sympathetic nervous system activity in college students. Sixty-two students in their 20s from D University in Daejeon and H University in Seoul participated from March to June 2024 and randomly assigned using Random Alloc to an experimental group (n=31) or a control group (n=31). The experimental group received foot massage with lavender, sweet marjoram, and peppermint blended in jojoba oil, whereas the control group received foot massage with jojoba oil. Stress indices and sympathetic nervous system activity were assessed before and after intervention using a pulse wave analysis device (uBioClip v70), and ANCOVA was performed with baseline values as covariates. Adjusted post-intervention means for stress indices in the experimental and control groups were 45.56 and 47.80, respectively (F=9.254, p<.01), while those for sympathetic nervous system activity were 6.574 and 7.093, respectively (F=12.528, p<.01). These findings indicate significant between‑group differences and support the potential of aroma‑blended oil foot massage to reduce stress and physiological tension.
