The purpose of this article, which takes the form of a dialogue, is to offer a more profound analysis of the artistic practice of the French-Algerian artist Zoulikha Bouadellah. Her work is often the subject of superficial analysis, which prevents an appreciation of her unique perspective. To address this issue, it is considered essential to involve the artist in the process of constructing ideas, using horizontal dialogue and active listening. The methodology is intended to explore how her cultural and personal background, shaped by uprooting, have influenced her identity as a woman and a political subject, and how these experiences have informed her aesthetic and conceptual approach. Her diverse artistic practice, which encompasses drawing, video art and collage, among others, is a celebration of freedom and a means of self-expression through a body that she perceives as perpetually in motion.
