The cathodic and anodic reactions for chlorine on a graphite electrode were investigated in concentrated ZnCl 2 solution using a rotating‐disk electrode. The diffusion coefficient, Tafel kinetic parameters, rate constants, and reaction order were obtained. A likely cathodic reaction mechanism and rate‐determining step is postulated.
