Haemoglobin concentration is an important indicator of health among adolescentgirls and young women. Objective: To assess and compare haemoglobin levels among femaleundergraduate students enrolled in Science and Arts programmes in Gajwel, Telangana. Methods: This cross-sectional comparative study included 160 female students aged 17–20years (Science, n = 100; Arts, n = 60) from degree colleges in Gajwel, Siddipet District.Haemoglobin was measured using a Quick-Check Plus Hb instrument. The manuscriptreports descriptive statistics, Welch independent-samples t-tests and a two-way analysis ofvariance (ANOVA) examining age, academic stream and their interaction. Results: Thereported overall mean haemoglobin concentration was 12.19 ± 1.82 g/dL among sciencestudents and approximately 12.0 ± 1.47 g/dL among Arts students. The reported overallbetween-stream difference was not statistically significant (Welch t = 0.769, p = 0.443). Thereported ANOVA found no significant main effects of age (p = 0.171) or stream (p = 0.089),or age-by-stream interaction (p = 0.563). Conclusion: No statistically significant difference inhaemoglobin concentration between the two academic streams was detected in the reportedanalyses. Routine student health screening and nutrition education may be beneficial. Thesummary statistics and inferential analyses should be verified against the original datasetbefore submission.
