Key result
Kinesiophobia affects ~55% of patients with CHD, linked to older age, multimorbidity, and negative coping.
Why the study?
The status and influencing factors of exercise fear in patients with coronary heart disease were not well understood.
Cross-Sectional (n=123)
No
p-value: p=<0.05
Over half of coronary heart disease patients experience kinesiophobia, which is significantly driven by older age, multi-morbidity, socioeconomic status, and psychosocial distress, highlighting targets for cardiac rehabilitation support.

孙 et al. (2026) conducted a cross-sectional in Coronary heart disease (n=123). Risk factors (age ≥65, low education, multiple comorbidities, negative coping, etc.) vs. Absence of these risk factors was evaluated on Kinesiophobia (TSK-SV score > 37) (p=<0.05). In patients with coronary heart disease, the prevalence of kinesiophobia was 55.28%, with age ≥65, multiple comorbidities, and negative coping identified as significant risk factors (P<0.05, OR>1).
