A new species, Impatiens lianchengensis J. D. Lin & P. Li, sp. nov ., from a moist valley on Mt. Guanzhai, Liancheng County, Fujian Province, southeastern China, is described and illustrated. It resembles I. huangyanensis X. F. Jin & B. Y. Ding and I. tainingensis J.-D. Lin & P. Li in gross morphology but differs in numerous features. The molecular phylogeny of Impatiens indicated that I. lianchengensis is closely related to I. kuocangshanica , I. wuyiensis , I. platysepala , and I. tainingensis based on plastome and ITS sequences.
