Artificial intelligence is reshaping entrepreneurial financial management, yet its relationship with business performance in emerging economies remains insufficiently understood. Drawing on the dynamic capabilities view and the technology–organization–environment perspective, this study examines how intelligent financial analytics and automated FinTech services relate to entrepreneurial performance through financial agility, with AI readiness as a moderator. Online survey data from business owners, founders, and entrepreneurs in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, Pakistan, were analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling. Both intelligent financial analytics and automated FinTech services were positively associated with financial agility and entrepreneurial performance. Financial agility partially mediated these relationships, while AI readiness strengthened the associations between both technologies and agility, as well as between agility and performance. Conditional indirect effects were greater at higher levels of readiness. These findings identify financial agility as a potential mechanism connecting financial technologies with entrepreneurial outcomes and highlight readiness as a boundary condition. The study suggests that entrepreneurs and policymakers should complement technology adoption with investments in digital infrastructure, data quality, employee skills, and leadership support for effective implementation.
