The successful eco-friendly synthesis of Ca 1-x Co x Fe 2 O 4 nanoferrites and magnetic nanocomposites of calcium-cobalt ferrite with reduced graphene oxide (rGO/Ca 1-x Co x Fe 2 O 4 ) has been reported via a thermal treatment method in the presence of rosemary leaf extract. The synthesized nanomaterials were characterized using various physicochemical techniques. Their possible application as both drug delivery nanocarriers and as electrode materials for supercapacitors has been described. For investigating how toxic nanocarriers (NCs) are when used in drug delivery platforms, the MTT assay served as the measurement tool. Cyclic voltammetry (CV) characterizations of the CaF nanoferrite and rGO/CF37 nanocomposite samples highlighted the excellent performances as supercapacitors, with specific capacitance (C S ) values, under the condition of 5 mV/s scan rate, giving 822 and 802F/g, respectively. This green preparation protocol of nanoferrites and magnetic nanocomposites of calcium-cobalt ferrite with reduced graphene oxide, by controlling biocompatibility and electrochemical properties, offers remarkable advantages, including environmental friendliness and good efficiency, suitable for biomedical field applications, like wastewater treatment and water desalination.
