We present a genome assembly from an individual male Andrena barbilabris (Sandpit Mining Bee; Arthropoda; Insecta; Hymenoptera; Andrenidae). The haploid genome sequence has a total length of 461.37 megabases. Most of the assembly (87.31%) is scaffolded into 6 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 20.97 kilobases. Gene annotation of the haploid assembly by Ensembl identified 13,385 protein-coding genes. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.
