We present a genome assembly from an individual female Coelichneumon leucocerus (ichneumonid wasp; Arthropoda; Insecta; Hymenoptera; Ichneumonidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 383.98 megabases and 359.74 megabases. Most of the haplotype 1 assembly (81.79%) was scaffolded into 12 chromosomal pseudomolecules. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 31.14 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.
