Genome assembly reveals insights into the ichneumonid wasp, implying its significance in biodiversity studies.
<ns3:p> We present a genome assembly from an individual female <ns3:italic>Stenichneumon culpator</ns3:italic> (ichneumonid wasp; Arthropoda; Insecta; Hymenoptera; Ichneumonidae). The genome sequence has a total length of 284.62 megabases. Most of the assembly (97.61%) is scaffolded into 14 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 24.62 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces reference genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland. </ns3:p>
