Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming professional services through automation, information processing, analytics and decision support. Legal and accounting professions, which rely on expertise, judgment, confidentiality and compliance, are increasingly exposed to AI technologies, though adoption and perceived impacts may differ between the two fields. This study examines and compares AI adoption and professional transformation among legal and accounting professionals in Mumbai. It focuses on AI awareness, adoption, perceived benefits, professional transformation, ethical concerns, skills, employment implications and future adoption intentions. A quantitative research design using a structured questionnaire will be adopted, with data analysed through descriptive, reliability, correlation and comparative statistical techniques. The study aims to identify similarities, differences and factors influencing AI adoption, providing insights for effective AI training, governance and responsible adoption.
