We present a genome assembly of Salix reticulata (Net-leaved Willow; Streptophyta; Magnoliopsida; Malpighiales; Salicaceae). The assembly consists of two haplotypes with total lengths of 396.19 megabases and 393.95 megabases. Most of the haplotype 1 assembly (89.89%) was scaffolded into 19 chromosomal pseudomolecules. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome assembly has a length of 643.14 kilobases and the plastid genome assembly has a length of 155.5 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces reference genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.
