Introduction The Researcher Publication Toolkit has been developed to support researchers in the preparation, submission and management of scholarly publications. It provides a collection of structured, editable templates designed to promote consistency, organisation and efficiency throughout the research and publication process. The toolkit is intended to be particularly useful for early-career researchers, postgraduate research candidates, clinician–researchers and academics managing multiple research projects or manuscripts. Preparing a manuscript for publication involves more than writing the research itself. Researchers must also develop appropriate protocols, prepare submission documentation, identify suitable journals, maintain accurate submission records and respond to editorial decisions. These administrative requirements can become increasingly complex as the number of concurrent manuscripts and research projects grows. This toolkit provides a practical framework for managing these activities systematically. The templates can be adapted to individual research projects, institutional requirements and journal-specific instructions. Citation and Acknowledgement Researchers who use or adapt this toolkit are encouraged to acknowledge the original resource in scholarly publications, research protocols, teaching materials or other relevant outputs.
