The ability to comprehend classical Islamic texts (kitab turats) is one of the essential competencies in Arabic language learning within Islamic boarding schools. However, many students encounter difficulties in identifying grammatical functions, analyzing Arabic syntactic and morphological structures, and understanding unvocalized Arabic texts. This study aimed to develop the Al-Barqy instructional material based on Visual-Spatial Intelligence, evaluate its validity, and examine its effectiveness in improving students' comprehension of kitab turats in the sorogan learning program at Markaz Al-'Arabiyah Pare Kediri. This research employed the Research and Development (R&D) approach consisting of needs analysis, product design, development, expert validation, revision, field testing, and evaluation. Data were collected through observations, interviews, documentation, validation questionnaires, pretests, and posttests. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The findings revealed that the developed instructional material successfully integrated colors, grammatical symbols, concept maps, and visual representations as applications of Visual-Spatial Intelligence. Expert validation indicated a feasibility score of 97%, categorized as highly valid. The effectiveness test using a paired-samples t-test yielded a t-value of 20.13 with df = 14 and p < 0.001, indicating a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores. Therefore, the Al-Barqy instructional material is considered valid, effective, and applicable as an innovative instructional resource for enhancing students' comprehension of kitab turats through the sorogan learning model.
