A significant portion of a professional golfer's income does not come from tournament purses. Each year, a professional golfer may earn millions of dollars in off-course income that includes everything from endorsement deals to appearance fees. Though past research has monetized the value of skill sets relative to on-course earnings, we seek to determine how specific skills affect a golfer's off-course earnings. Our results suggest that scoring most strongly drives a player's total earnings, but that the short game exerts the biggest effect on off-course earnings, with mixed results for power.
