This study aims to describe the role of teachers in improving the learning motivation of fifth-grade students at SD N Dayeuh. This study employed a qualitative approach using a descriptive qualitative research design. The research subjects consisted of the principal, fifth-grade homeroom teacher, and fifth-grade students. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was established through source and technique triangulation. The results showed that the teacher's role in improving students' learning motivation was carried out through three stages: learning planning, implementation, and evaluation. At the planning stage, the teacher prepared learning activities based on the Learning Outcomes (CP) and Learning Objectives Flow (ATP) and developed teaching modules according to students' conditions and characteristics. The teacher also planned the use of various learning strategies and media to increase student engagement. At the implementation stage, the teacher acted as a facilitator and mentor by using Interactive Flat Panel (IFP) media, group activities, educational games, question-and-answer sessions, and activities that directly involved students. The teacher also assisted students who experienced learning difficulties and provided appreciation for their achievements. At the evaluation stage, the teacher observed students' enthusiasm, attention, participation, activeness, and effort during the learning process. The principal supported these efforts by providing learning facilities, conducting regular meetings, implementing lesson study, supervising teachers, and conducting Teacher Performance Assessment (PKG). The interview results showed that students felt more enthusiastic and enjoyed participating in learning activities, showed interest in the activities provided by the teacher, tried to complete their assignments, and received assistance when experiencing learning difficulties. Therefore, the teacher's role, supported by the principal through learning planning, implementation, and evaluation, contributes to improving the learning motivation of fifth-grade students at SD N Dayeuh.
