This research was motivated by the lack of learning comprehension among fifth-grade students at SDIT Alam Darul Furqon in learning mathematics, particularly on fractions, which was caused by the teachers’ less effective use of instructional media. The problem examined in this study concerns the effect of puzzle media on students’ learning comprehension of fractions. This study aimed to determine whether there was a significant effect of using puzzle media on students’ comprehension in mathematics learning on fractions among fifth-grade students at SDIT Alam Darul Furqon. This study employed a quantitative approach using an experimental method with a pre-experimental design. The design used was a one-group pretest-posttest design, in which a pretest was administered before the treatment and a posttest was administered after the treatment, involving a sample of 21 students. Data were collected using a test instrument. The data analysis techniques used in this study consisted of normality, homogeneity, and hypothesis tests. The results showed that the use of puzzle media had an effect on students’ learning comprehension in the fifth grade at SDIT Alam Darul Furqon. This conclusion was based on the results of the t-test, which showed a significance value of 0.000. Since the probability value was less than 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05), the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. This indicates that the use of puzzle media had a significant effect on students’ learning comprehension. In other words, there was a significant effect of puzzle media on mathematics learning comprehension among fifth-grade students at SDIT Alam Darul Furqon.
