The implementation of discovery learning in physics education is an approach that encourages students to actively engage in discovering and understanding concepts. Research findings on its implementation vary according to the learning materials, educational levels, supporting media, and research designs employed. This study aims to analyze the implementation of discovery learning in physics education during the 2024–2026 period and identify research trends regarding students’ learning outcomes. This study employed a systematic literature review (SLR) by analyzing fifteen relevant scientific articles. The data were analyzed descriptively and thematically based on research characteristics, forms of discovery learning implementation, supporting media or strategies, and students’ learning outcomes. The results show that discovery learning has been implemented across various physics topics and can be combined with supporting learning media and strategies, such as PhET, LKPD, E-LKPD, kahoot, vee map, lumio by smart. Overall, the studies indicate an increase or effect on students’ physics learning outcomes following the implementation of discovery learning. Studies using experimental designs demonstrated differences or effects on learning outcomes, while studies using pretest–posttest designs and classroom action research showed improvements in learning outcomes following the implementation of the learning model. The variation in research findings indicates that the implementation of discovery learning needs to be adapted to the characteristics of the learning materials, students, supporting media or strategies, and instructional design.
