Community service through the university’s fieldwork program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata/KKN) provides students with an opportunity to integrate academic knowledge with community needs at the village level. This article describes the 2026 KKN program of Universitas Islam Negeri Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau in Meranti Village, Pangkalan Kuras District, Pelalawan Regency, under the theme “Strengthening Communities Based on Local Wisdom”. The activities were conducted from late July to late August 2026 through observation, mapping, discussion, implementation, and continuous communication. Activity data were obtained through field observation, communication with village officials and residents, activity documentation, and reflection on program outputs. The core programs consisted of producing cemetery and hamlet direction signs, establishing QRIS-based digital payment access, and installing road reflectors. Discipline-based programs included bullying awareness, Maghrib Qur’an learning, MDA teaching, education on unhealthy social relationships, public speaking education, and saving education. Supporting activities included creative and basic learning activities at TK Pertiwi, participation in the DEWI (Tourism Village) event, Independence Day activities, volleyball, and futsal competitions. The results indicate that the programs produced practical outputs in the form of village information facilities, digital payment access, road visibility markers, educational activities for children and adolescents, and spaces for social interaction and preservation of local practices. The implementation also strengthened communication among students, village government, educational institutions, and residents. The experience demonstrates that needs-based community service can integrate practical interventions, education, and community participation within a village development context.
