Spontaneous kidney rupture unrelated to mechanical trauma is a rare occasion. Nevertheless, there are documented cases of the injuries of renal parenchyma affecting pelvicalyceal system in patients undergoing long-term hemodialysis as well as with tumor formations in the kidneys, polycystic kidneys and hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome. The article describes a clinical case of a patient with spontaneous rupture of the left kidney’s pelvicalyceal system and the ureter compressed by lymphocele. No similar case was found in the scientific publications, which makes the said clinical case unique.
