This study aimed to determine the effect of implementing the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on the self-efficacy of fourth-grade students in the IPAS subject at UPT SDN 32 Sela and UPT SDN 56 Talaka, Pangkep Regency. The population of this study consisted of 44 students. The sampling technique used was saturated sampling; therefore, the entire population was selected as the research sample, consisting of 26 students in the experimental class and 18 students in the control class. Data were collected using a self-efficacy questionnaire. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics through the normality test, homogeneity test, and Independent Samples t-Test with the assistance of SPSS version 25. The results of the descriptive statistical analysis showed that the mean pretest self-efficacy score in the experimental class increased from 61.69 to 69.53 in the posttest. Meanwhile, the mean pretest score in the control class increased from 62.94 to 65.27 in the posttest. The results of the inferential statistical analysis showed a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.035, which was lower than the significance level of 0.05. Therefore, H₁ was accepted and H₀ was rejected. It can be concluded that the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model had a significant effect on students' self-efficacy in the IPAS subject.
