This study aims to identify, analyze, and synthesize previous research findings regarding the effect of Total Asset Turnover (TATO), Working Capital Turnover, and Net Profit Margin (NPM) on the financial performance of trading sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The methodology employed is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR), selecting and analyzing relevant scientific articles gathered from databases such as Google Scholar. The synthesized results indicate that the effect of Total Asset Turnover on financial performance varies, as high asset turnover does not necessarily guarantee improved financial performance unless accompanied by operational cost efficiency. Conversely, working capital turnover consistently proves vital in maintaining daily liquidity stability and operational cash flow. Meanwhile, Net Profit Margin plays a dominant role as a primary indicator of cost efficiency and pricing competitiveness in generating net profits. The implications of this study suggest that management in the trading sub-sector should not solely focus on increasing sales volume, but also strictly manage working capital efficiency and operational expenses to optimize overall financial performance.
