Puyo is one of the cities of the Ecuadorian Amazon most affected by the demographic explosion and its natural resources such as deforestation and loss of communal forest nurseries; Therefore, the objective is to evaluate the viability and germination of the seeds of the three forest species under different conditions of temperature, humidity and substrate, in order to identify significant differences between them, with the inhabitants of the Runa Kawsay farm of the Puyopungo Community, Madre Tierra Parish, Mera Canton. It was considered that this research work was based on lack of knowledge of the techniques of seed quality indicators, such as: purity, weight, germinative capacity, germinative energy, real value, hence the need for this type of project related to the productivity of the area, in order to archive all this, a germination test was carried out under nursery conditions for different species such as: Schizolobium parahybum, Tabebuia chrysantha and Laurus nobilis, with the purpose of characterizing the behavior of seed quality indicators. The results of this evaluation provide information for seed selection and, also highlight the importance of implementing appropriate management practices to ensure the viability and diversity of forest populations.
