AbstractArtificial intelligence (AI) is transforming educational practices by that address individual learners' needs. In physical education AI-supported instructional approaches have the potential to enhance student’s physical literacy, motivation and participation in physical activity. Research has been ananlysed comprehensive AI-supported personalized learning frameworks for school students. This study aims to develop and evaluate an Artificial Intelligence Supported Personalized Learning Framework (AI-PLF) for physical education and to examine its effectiveness in improving physical literacy, motivation to learning and physical activity among school students. A quasi experimental pre-test and post-test control group design is proposed. Approximately 300 students from Classes XI and XII will be taken by the method of multistage random sampling method from government and private schools. The experimental group will receive AI supported personalized physical education instruction for 12 weeks and the control group will receive the conventional physical education teaching. Data will be collected using approved instruments for measuring physical literacy, motivation to learning and moderate to vigorous physical activity. Descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, ANCOVA (Analysis of Covariance) and effect size estimates will be used to evaluate the intervention. It is expected that students exposed to the AI supported personalized learning framework will demonstrate significantly high levels of physical literacy, involved motivation and physical activity which are receiving traditional teaching. The framework is also expected to support differentiated teaching, continuous feedback and improved student engagement.
