Y/Al dual‐doped CeO 2 (Y x Al 0.06 Ce 1‐(x+0.06) O 2 ) nanoparticles were synthesized using a green synthesis method and systematically characterized using various techniques. The structural, morphological, optical, and electrochemical properties of the synthesized nanoparticles were investigated through x‐ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), UV‐visible spectroscopy (UV‐Vis), Fourier‐transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and electrochemical analysis (CV and DPV). XRD analysis revealed the formation of a cubic fluorite structure, and shifts in the diffraction peaks upon doping were observed. The crystallite size was calculated using Scherrer, modified Scherrer, Williamson‐Hall (W‐H), and Halder‐Wagner (H‐W) methods. The microstrain and dislocation density were calculated using the W‐H and H‐W methods. SEM and TEM analyses confirmed the formation of spherical nanoparticles. The energy bandgap was calculated from the UV‐visible data using Tauc plot analysis and was found to be in the range of 3.38–3.15 eV. The functional groups present in the samples were identified using FTIR data. The anodic peak current, diffusion current, and DPV current were analyzed using electrochemical analysis and showed high redox activity and ion transfer efficiency.
