One of the main goals of the state's development at the present stage is to improve the quality of life, including through the improvement of the public health system. In this context, the criterion of quality of life is to reduce morbidity and increase life expectancy. Socio-economic factors play a significant role in solving this problem. Today, in the period of development of an industrial society based on the automation of production and digitalization of various aspects of human activity, life expectancy is determined to a greater extent by high-quality nutrition, safe living and sanitary conditions, access to healthcare and education, and environmental well-being. The mentioned factors of human life have significant differentiation by regions of the country, as well as by rural and urban settlements. Based on the results of our research, some trends in the development of the incidence rate of the most common diseases have been identified, a temporary trend of increasing life expectancy has been built, and the degree of influence of socio-economic factors on public health and life expectancy in Russia has been determined. Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that the socio-economic factors selected for the study determine the amount of territorial differentiation in terms of morbidity by 23% and in terms of life expectancy by 40%.
