Urological diseases are among the most common chronic conditions affecting populations worldwide and significantly influence quality of life and work capacity. The aim of this study was to assess the prevalence of major urological diseases among the population of the Andijan region of Uzbekistan and evaluate the role of primary health care physicians in early diagnosis and prevention. An epidemiological cross-sectional study was conducted in six districts of the Andijan region. A total of 4,120 adults were examined using structured questionnaires, physical examination, urinalysis, ultrasound screening, and clinical assessment. The prevalence of urinary tract infections was 11.2%, urolithiasis and pre-lithiasis 7.4%, benign prostatic hyperplasia 3.6%, and other urological conditions 12.1%. Urological diseases were more common among women for urinary infections and among men older than 50 years for prostate disorders. The results emphasize the importance of screening and early diagnosis at the primary care level.
