The first terms of the high-temperature expansion of the susceptibility are calculated for the degenerate Hubbard model and the magnetic interaction in the strong correlation limit is deduced for any electron concentration. By comparison with the non-degenerate case, it is shown that two mechanisms favour ferromagnetism in the degenerate case: the ordering of the orbital states and the double exchange coupling.
