This study aims to describe the implementation of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model in stimulating student collaboration and engagement in Indonesian language learning on the topic of response and suggestion sentences. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach involving 17 fifth-grade students at SDN Telang 2. Data were collected through observation and affective assessment using 1–4 Likert scale and analyzed descriptively through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the implementation of TGT through the stages of class presentation, teams, games, tournament, and team recognition provided students with opportunities to actively participate, interact, and collaborate during the learning process. Student-centered learning achieved an average score of 92.65%. Student engagement was demonstrated through asking questions (88.24%), answering questions (94.12%), participating in discussions (76.47%), completing tasks (100%), and participating in games and tournaments (100%). Collaboration was demonstrated through cooperation (82.35%), task sharing (82.35%), contribution (76.47%), helping group members (94.12%), and communication (82.35%). Therefore, TGT can support student engagement and collaboration in Indonesian language learning.
