The Artist Brief and Induction Manual (Guideline and Framework for Participation in ATSI Schemes) was developed as Deliverable D2.2 within Work Package 2 – Understanding Landscape, Mapping and Community of Practice (CoP) Building of the Horizon Europe-funded VOICE project (Valorising Artist-Led Innovation through Citizen Engagement). The deliverable brings together a set of documents designed to support the recruitment, selection, induction and onboarding of artists participating in the VOICE Arts, Technology and Society Interventions (ATSI) and pilot schemes. It includes the VOICE Expression of Interest Form, accompanying FAQs and eligibility guidelines, artist selection criteria, invitation letter, and evaluation rubric. Additionally, it presents early versions of the Artist Mentoring Framework and Induction Guide, including a draft Memorandum of Agreement, mentoring timeline and Artist Weekly Reflective Journal Log. These resources establish a structured and transparent approach to artist engagement and selection, while providing the initial foundations for the VOICE Mentoring Programme, further developed under Deliverable D5.1. The deliverable offers practical tools and guidance that may inform similar artist-led research and innovation initiatives, particularly those involving interdisciplinary collaboration, community engagement and eco-social artistic practices.
