International organizations across cultures face the challenge of balancing the competing demands and needs of clients, employees, internal processes and society. Recurring paradoxes and dilemmas are created by this tension, and the key challenge lies in balancing and integrating these opposites. This qualitative research study examines the leadership practices of three multicultural leaders from Latin America in different German organizations. Its aim is to explore how these leaders deal with opposites by drawing on their multicultural experiences and backgrounds. The findings reveal an ability to balance and integrate opposing yet complementary leadership practices in a context-sensitive manner.
